Stories Jesus Told

Led By: Tammy Babinski

Location: Main level, room 203

Dates: April 13 - May 18 (No class on Easter, April 20)

Everyone loves a good story. Whether it’s a novel, film, or song, we are products of the narratives that have formed us—for good or bad. If you need fresh inspiration or are stuck living under the weight of a story you can’t shake off, consider this study of the parables of Jesus.

Through five studies with 10-minute videos, you’ll hear directly from Jesus through the Word. His parables not only form (or reform) who we are, they reveal more about God than we ever thought possible. They provide the hope we’re looking for, speaking above all the other noise we may be experiencing.

Back by popular demand!  The Art of Neighboring

Led By: Tom Barrett

Location: Lower level, room 104

Dates: 4 weeks; April 13 -  May 11 (No class on Easter, April 20)

Once upon a time, people knew their neighbors. They talked to them, had cook-outs with them, and went to church with them. In our time of unprecedented mobility and increasing isolationism, it's hard to make lasting connections with those who live right outside our front door. We have hundreds of "friends" through online social networking, but we often don't even know the full name of the person who lives right next door.

This unique and inspiring book asks the question: What is the most loving thing I can do for the people who live on my street or in my neighborhood? Through compelling true stories of lives impacted, the authors show readers how to create genuine friendships with the people who live in closest proximity to them.

Care+Groups.jpg

care groups

Care groups are small groups comprised of 6-12 individuals that meet for connection, bible study, prayer, friendship, and accountability. They usually commit to meeting together for 9-12 months, or even longer, and usually meet in people’s homes.

A care group is the best place for sustained life change to occur. It’s also where people pray together, care for one another, and are missed if they don’t show up.

Interested in joining a care group or leading one? Let us know at office@williamstonchurch.org.
