Our Story
The roots of WFMC run deep, originating from the Wesleyan/Armenian tradition, following the values of John Wesley. These roots posture us as part of the evangelical movement. WFMC’s story begins in 1875 with Reverend Golden who held a revival meeting and began a church service in a bar in downtown Williamston. In 1908 a small church was built on S Cedar Street in Williamston which had several additions and remodeling done until 1938. In 1974 ten acres of land was purchased on North Williamston Road where they broke ground for a new building in June of 1977. In 2004 the current sanctuary addition was added to the church building. The mission of WFMC is to be a church that loves Jesus, makes disciples, and serves our community.
